<p><p>Job Description</p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Senior Civil Engineer role focused on water and wastewater conveyance. Lead major projects, mentor talent, and drive business growth with expertise in linear infrastructure to deliver sustainable solutions for a national conveyance team.</p><h3>What you can expect to do here</h3><ul><li>Lead water and wastewater conveyance projects, overseeing all design phases and ensuring compliance with client needs and regulatory standards.</li><li>Manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, technically robust solutions, from concept through construction.</li><li>Drive project success by overseeing design deliverables, budgets, schedules, and quality assurance processes.</li><li>Provide expert guidance during construction, including resolving technical queries and reviewing shop drawings.</li><li>Champion risk management strategies, focusing on constructability and site-specific challenges.</li><li>Mentor and inspire junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.</li><li>Build strong client relationships and support business growth through proposal development and innovative service offerings.</li><li>Provide construction support services, including design clarifications, shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, site visits, attending meetings, etc.</li><li>Take technical and time management responsibilities of tasks and delegate effectively to junior staff.</li></ul><h3>What you''ll bring to WSP</h3><ul><li>Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master''s degree an asset), with P.Eng. licensure in Ontario.</li><li>10-15 years of progressive experience leading design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.</li><li>Expertise in conceptual and detailed design of linear infrastructure, including gravity sewers, watermains, pumping stations, and forcemains.</li><li>Strong command of construction methods, sequencing, risk management, and mitigation strategies.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario and Canadian municipal / provincial design standards, regulatory requirements, and approval processes.</li><li>Proven ability to manage projects from planning through to construction completion—delivering quality results on time and within budget.</li><li>Recognized for technical leadership, collaboration, and commitment to innovation in infrastructure solutions.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder expectations to ensure project success.</li><li>Exceptional mentoring abilities, skilled at inspiring, coaching, and fostering the growth of engineering professionals.</li><li>Outstanding communicator with a proven track record in technical report writing, delivering compelling client presentations, and facilitating clear collaboration across project teams.</li><li>Strategic business development mindset, adept at preparing winning proposals and pursuing innovative opportunities for growth.</li></ul><h3>About Us</h3><p>WSP is one of the world\'s leading professional services firms.
